If you didn’t see that trailer yet, it’s time to take a peek. I got into the Borderlands series way late—like 2017—and I’ve been playing the enhanced version of the first one almost every day lately. Borderlands 3 is so recent that I thought rumors of a 2K announcement as part of or just before E3 would just be for DLC.
If it isn’t obvious, I’m a fantasy fan. I’m a fantasy author, and Dungeons & Dragons has been a big part of my free time recently, so this game looks like a natural fit for me. I also think Ashly Burch is incredible, and the art style for the Borderlands series has always looked great.
Will it be as good as B1 or B2? It’s hard to say. There’s not much info out there yet, but there is a lot to marvel at in the short reveal trailer. Why not check it out below:
It’s giving me a lot more motivation to push through all the other games. There’s not a lot I can speculate about, especially because I haven’t finished any of them yet, but the voice cast looks like it will make it worth it regardless.
Since this is a separate game instead of being an DLC for B3, I hope it plays directly out in a medieval world (with guns obviously) instead of being too attached to the other games. I’d like to get into this game as soon as it arrives instead of rushing through *looks at game shelf* three other games to avoid spoilers.
