Here’s a quick blog update. The YouTube algorithm, in its infinite wisdom, led me to a YouTuber that I think is way too under-subscribed for the quality of videos he puts out. He talks about color in movies and brings up some neat little conundrums like “IS PINK REAL?” Read more and check out his channel…
YouTuber Barrett Kaufman
I’m not being paid in any way to talk about this guy’s channel, I just feel like he deserves more recognition. After I subscribed to him, he only had 699 subscribers, but he’s producing content that deserves hundreds of thousands of followers.
It looks like his oldest content is about a year old, at least on this channel. Even if you’re not really into graphic design, and words like “gamma” mean nothing to you, he has a short playlist of movie reviews you can check out by giving the button below a quick click.

In the comments of the 2022 Color Reel video, I got a response from him after asking about Zack Snyder’s Justice League. I don’t know if a YouTuber I didn’t personally know has ever responded to a YouTube comment of mine before, but it happened! If he makes a video about ZSJL, you can thank me! JK.
