I watched The Wheel of Time on my own almost right away when it came out, and now I’m rewatching it with my wife. News dropped not long ago that it was one of or the most watched streaming series of 2021. While I’m not entirely sure how that can be true, I’m super gladContinue reading “Quick Thoughts with Nathan: The Wheel of Time (2021)”

Cards for Books
Hey all, quick blog update. I’ve changed my video recording setup so I can show everyone what’s going on in Withered Kingdom world. I printed business cards, and as you can see in the video below, they’re pretty nice!
Reflecting on NaNoWriMo 2021
It’s time for a blog update! First of all, Withered Kingdom is now available in paperback! Go check it out now, here: LINK. I planned for it to be released back on Halloween, but there were issues with the cover. Basically, the “D” of “Withered” was going to be cut off by the printer, soContinue reading “Reflecting on NaNoWriMo 2021”
Withered Kingdom is Coming to Print
My most recent fantasy novel has only been available as an ebook through Kindle devices and the Kindle app for a year now. It’s hard to believe it’s been out that long, but it’s time that everyone who wants it in print to get what they’ve been waiting for.
Better Writing does not Equal a Better Game
On my crusade through the Borderlands games, I have finally finished Borderlands 2 and the Tiny Tina DLC! It’s been a marathon of FPS gaming that I haven’t experienced before. I may be slow compared to a lot of gamers, but I went through Borderlands 2 rather quickly for my average.

After John Green left Mental Floss I stopped watching their videos until very recently. Diving back in and getting to know a few of their new hosts, I discovered this little gem that belongs on this blog. It’s time to debunk a few misconceptions, including an oft-quoted one from Sherlock Holmes.
I Should Have Played Metroid: Zero Mission Sooner
Like a lot of other people, the big news of Nintendo finally making Metroid Dread has inspired me to play through the main series. Before the announcement of Dread, I had already played some of the NES Metroid, beaten Metroid: Samus Returns, gotten rather far in Super Metroid, and I beat Metroid Fusion. So whyContinue reading “I Should Have Played Metroid: Zero Mission Sooner”
I Beat Borderlands, Y’all!
By “Borderlands” I mean the first game. I posted about Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands just after it was announced, and since I was already working on a playthrough of Borderlands, it helped motivate me to finish it sooner rather than later. Here’s the thing though, I actually beat it. And it was good, really good. ExceptContinue reading “I Beat Borderlands, Y’all!”
Metroid Dread: E3 Reaction
We’ve all had a few days to breathe after E3. It was a week of ups and downs for just about everyone, but the Nintendo Direct presentation included something nobody expected. At least, I didn’t expect it.
Witcher News! Happy Birthday to me!
I sat down at my computer wondering what I would blog about, but a couple seconds on the book of faces made my mind up for me. Straight to the point, Netflix and CD Projekt Red are presenting a streaming convention for The Witcher! Like many, I’ve been enamored with the series in recent years,Continue reading “Witcher News! Happy Birthday to me!”
